There has been a slight change in the merino/nylon blend that we'll be using for the club. It's a 75/25 superwash merino/nylon instead of 80/20 and is listed at 460 yards/skein rather than 420 (yay for more!). It's super yummy and soft and lovely to knit with. I actually finished a sock with it and I never finish anything! If you think you might want to change the base yarn that you chose for the club that will be fine. Just give me head's up by the weekend.

I've got a little bit of club news for you guys.... Sign-ups will close on the 20th with the first packages shipping out on the 21st. I may open up spots again for new sign-ups shortly after that, but the only way to get all the colorways and receive an extra somethin' somethin' with the last shipment is to join by the 20th. If you have questions about payment or anything else, please let me know.

Some folks have asked about the difference between the 100% merino and the blend. Physically they're different in that the merino is a two ply and the blend is 4. The blend is slighter thinner. I'd consider it a true fingering weight whereas the merino might toe the line between fingering and heavy fingering (can I say fingering more times in one sentence?). I really think that having the added nylon when knitting socks is a personal preference because as long as you're knitting to the correct gauge, the 100% merino will also wear beautifully and give you a long-lasting, strong sock. And if you're not knitting socks, the merino/nylon is still fabulous to knit with and gives you extra durability in any project.
Someone decided to act all cute while I was taking sock pics. Couldn't help but post it :).

Love your new socks. Very summery. I am going to still try the blend yarn. Tho I am nervous about it being thinner (I am so lazy) I trust your yarniness.
Based on the nylon & durability factor, I'd like to change my subscription from merino to the blend.
Seriously, if I can finish a sock (and hopefully a whole pair), anyone can! Of course, a highly addictive pattern, like the Monkeys, doesn't hurt :).
Shelly, email me your info (jessie@yarntini.net) and I'll go ahead and change it for you.
I think I'd like to change my yarn base choice from 100% merino to the blend please.
I just signed up for your summer sock yarn club (my first yarn subscription!) and I have a questions. I got in on the three month subscription, but you said the summer colorways go through September. Will my subscription renew automatically for the second three months if I don't specifically cancel or will I have to sign up again to stay in for the entire set of colorways? email: shutupnclick@gmail.com
I'm so looking forward to this!
LOVE the color, nice and summery! Adorable pic ;)
The socks are fabulous...so is the little guy.
