Win a copy of Cookie's new book, Sock Innovation, and a skein of "zesty" in our merino sock!

I took a break from dyeing on Friday to venture out and pick up Cookie's new book. The designs are just beautiful and it definitely does not disappoint. It's a great mix of instruction, advice, and sock patterns. Although I can count the number of socks I've actually completed on one hand, I have grand plans for many more and can say for sure that most on my to-knit list are Cookie's. I've already cast on for the first sock in the book but haven't made it much past the ribbing. Hopefully I'll have some progress to show soon.

As far as the giveaway... I picked up an extra copy and want to pass it along, along with a skein of our merino sock in "zesty". All you have to do is leave a comment to this post (one per person, please) and I will select a random winner. I'd love to know what your plans are for the spring/summer or you can just say hi :).

If the winner already has the book, they can choose to just receive the yarn and let me find someone that does not yet have it or do so themselves. The winner will be chosen on Sunday April 12th at 8:00pm est so until then, comment away!

The new 80/20 merino/nylon sock (in front) compared to our 100% merino sock (in back).

I'm really loving this base. It has a nice tight twist and takes color beautifully. These skeins are dyed in the April semi-solid colorway so I altered the photo. No spoilers here. It's a teeny-tiny bit finer than our regular 100% merino sock but will still take between a 0-3 US needle size. It's listed as having approx. 420 yards and this skein clocked in at 432. More than enough for a nice size pair of socks. I'm working on a swatch and will try to have pics up sometime this weekend. If you have any questions about the new base or are on the fence about which one to choose for the club, just let me know!
