The shop's been updated with self-striping, cashmere, and new prices on the variegated merino in stock! As of right now there are a few striping skeins left. The new service that we're using for our mailing list decided not to work today, but if you're on it you will get a notice before our next update on the 10th.

It's been a crazy couple of weeks... Mr.yarntini graduated with his MBA on friday and there was all the hooplah surrounding that; he had finals the week before and was gone pretty much 24 hours a day; April club yarn is still on it's way out and I'm eager to get started on May. Oy. I have tons of emails and etsy convos to get through so if your waiting to hear from me, it should be just a little bit longer. I think Wednesday is going to be an email-only day and then on Thursday I'll go through all of the orders from yesterday and today. If you did place an order and have not yet chosen your colorway(s) or would like to make a change, let me know asap.

ETA: There are also a bunch of different prizes from various contests that need to go out. Those will be shipped this week as well!

It's been super warm here in PA but I think it's supposed to rain the next few days and cool down. Thank God. I'm happy winter's over but I need some kind of easing into summery heat. That and our tiny pool is filthy and I'd rather put off cleaning that thing a little bit longer.

vintage cashmere dk stripe toast. INSANELY soft and yummy. More than enough in a skein for one pair.

In the shop update later: 100% cashmere dk, merino sock, and merino sport in self-striping, variegated, and semi-solid. There will be 7 colorway choices for the self-striping; vintage, luxury (you can find an amazing scarf knit with 2 skeins of luxury sport here), pomtini, 4-8-15-16-23-42, steel city, black and gold, and McDreamy. Everything will be dyed when ordered and will ship by USPS first class mail within 2-3 weeks.

I'm still working out a time for the update and will send out a notice to everyone on the mailing list and give a heads-up on Rav before then. If you don't m
ake it to this update please don't worry, there will be another in two weeks. I hope you check it out!

Sign-ups for the club will close tomorrow, the 22nd, at midnight EST. I may re-open it again next week for the May shipments but the only way to get in on all 6 months of fun is to join soon! I'm busy packing up the first boxes and they're set to go out this week!

I've got a little bit of club news for you guys.... Sign-ups will close on the 20th with the first packages shipping out on the 21st. I may open up spots again for new sign-ups shortly after that, but the only way to get all the colorways and receive an extra somethin' somethin' with the last shipment is to join by the 20th. If you have questions about payment or anything else, please let me know.

There has been a slight change in the merino/nylon blend that we'll be using for the club. It's a 75/25 superwash merino/nylon instead of 80/20 and is listed at 460 yards/skein rather than 420 (yay for more!). It's super yummy and soft and lovely to knit with. I actually finished a sock with it and I never finish anything! If you think you might want to change the base yarn that you chose for the club that will be fine. Just give me head's up by the weekend.

Cookie's Monkey in zesty merino/nylon
Some folks have asked about the difference between the 100% merino and the blend. Physically they're different in that the merino is a two ply and the blend is 4. The blend is slighter thinner. I'd consider it a true fingering weight whereas the merino might toe the line between fingering and heavy fingering (can I say fingering more times in one sentence?). I really think that having the added nylon when knitting socks is a personal preference because as long as you're knitting to the correct gauge, the 100% merino will also wear beautifully and give you a long-lasting, strong sock. And if you're not knitting socks, the merino/nylon is still fabulous to knit with and gives you extra durability in any project.

Someone decided to act all cute while I was taking sock pics. Couldn't help but post it :).

Thank you so much for the great response to the book/yarn give-away! I loved reading y'alls plans for the spring and summer! I'm a little jealous of those that are looking forward to a few months of relaxing and send good thoughts to everyone dealing with health or family issues. With so many responses and lots of yarn around, I decided to pick a couple extra winners. Nicole is the big winner of Cookie's book and the zesty yarn and Laura and Katie will get some other yarny goodies. Nicole, Laura, and Katie, please email jessieATyarntiniDOTnet with your mailing address by this Sunday!

My summer plans are all sleep related: to get my 2.5 yr old to sleep in a big boy bed, get my 7 month old to sleep through the night and for me to be able to sleep more than a few hours in a row..... Oh, and knit whenever the kids give me a chance to!

I would love this book and yarn! My plans for spring and summer include grad school with knitting in any spare time I can get!

Yay for yellow yarn! Perfect to brighten up a slow to start spring.

I'm off to look around for a Dymo label maker for printing shipping/address labels... if anyone has any recommendations, please let me know!

Happy Spring!

I hope y'all had a wonderful weekend! No egg dyeing around here, just lots of yarn. Thankfully I had bought plastic eggs last year from Target at like 75% off so we had an impromptu dress-up (For the kiddo. The Mr. and I looked like we had just rolled out of bed.) easter egg "hunt". One dark chocolate m&m an egg. Yum :).

Don't forget the comments will close on the Sock Innovation post tonight at 8 est. Check back tomorrow for the winner(s)!!
